Sam Van Dyk

My name is Sam and with 30 years experience in the property sector, I have developed a deep understanding of both the complexities of the London property market and the emotional dynamics involved in relocating families and individuals to a new city.  My career began at a well-established estate agency, where I gained experience in lettings, sales and property development.  After the birth of my two children, I moved into the relocation sector, where I found my true passion.

For the past 20 years, I’ve have worked with corporate clients such as Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, numerous hedge funds and private equity firms, helping expatriates settle into London and the home counties. This extensive experience allowed me to build a unique and unrivalled network of contacts across London’s property and schooling sectors. From finding the perfect home to understanding the British education system, I have developed a skill set that became invaluable to both my clients and my own family.

In 2020 ,  I established Van Dyk Relocation to provide a highly personalised, relocation service for clients, offering tailored assistance to individuals, families and high-net-worth professionals moving to London.  Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with clients from around the world, including celebrities, business executives and families looking for a seamless and stress-free transition to a new life in the UK. 

A significant part of my role is helping clients understand the complexities of our education system, whether state, private, or international schools, I have navigated this on a very personal level with both my children as well as my clients.  As a result, I’ve gained an in-depth knowledge of schooling options, as well as the challenges that families face when making these decisions.  This expertise allows me to provide valuable guidance to my clients, ensuring they make the best possible choices for their children’s education, from nursery school all the way through to university.

I pride myself on offering a bespoke, less corporate service that caters to the unique needs of every individual or family I work with.  I understand that moving to a new country can be an emotional and overwhelming process. I take the time to truly understand my clients' needs, balancing practical considerations with the personal and emotional aspects of relocation.  From organising school appointments to offering orientation tours, I am there to support my clients at every stage of their journey, providing as much or as little assistance as they require.

London is an incredible city, but getting it right from the outset is essential. I aim to make the transition process as smooth and enjoyable as possible by offering practical advice, a wealth of local knowledge and a personalised services that saves my clients time and money.  My goal is always to ensure that everybody finds their perfect home and settles into their new life in London with confidence and ease.
